This Was Sad News For Punjab
The central government has given another big blow to the new Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab. The Center has withheld Rs 1100 crore from the Rural Development Fund (RDF). The Center says that the Punjab government should first amend the Punjab Rural Development Act, 1987, after which the funds will be released.
In fact, the previous Congress government had spent the funds received for rural development in the loan waiver of farmers, after which the Center has shown this strictness. The Central Government says that the money from the Rural Development Fund is given for the development of procurement centers. This money should be spent on it
