An elderly Sikh of Indian origin was brutally beaten to death by a man in New York City. On this, New York City Mayor Eric Adams has expressed grief over the death of an elderly Sikh on X. Jasmer Singh, 66, died after being repeatedly punched by 30-year-old Gilbert Augustine after a car accident in New York City. He was taken in critical condition to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center in Queens, where he died a day later of a traumatic brain injury.
