Two and a half months ago, the couple got married at Gurdwara Sahib in Moga. Based on the marriage documents, Anmolpreet Kaur filed a petition in the High Court citing the threat to her life from her family. When the documents of the newly married boy were examined by the High Court judge, the age of the boy was stated to be 19 years, 7 months and 5 days, due to which the police was instructed to register a case under the Prevention of Child Marriage Act.
